Go Girl? Are You Kidding Me!!
66Well folks, if you have ever listened to my podcast, "Chattin With K Partin" you know that the majority of my show I like to come up with weird and crazy headlines and news stories. My favorite line is "you just can't make this stuff up". Well here is one of those stories.
Girls have you heard of the "GoGirl" yet? Well I guess in Europe it's pretty popular, and in use all over. What it does is allow women to "pee" as they say on their video, standing up.Now I never knew that this was such a big deal for women, I mean I never heard my wife or any other woman say, "damn I wish I could pee standing up". But according to Sarah Dillon president and founder of GoGirl, it is a big deal.
The product was created at a company named FemMed, in Minnetonka Minn. It allows women to take a bathroom break standing up.
I guess it's a good thing for women in public bathrooms who don't want to sit down, kind of a cleanliness thing. Now I do know there has been times when my wife has gone into a restaurant bathroom and came out and complained to the Manager that the restroom was a mess. So maybe there is something to this.
Dillon goes on to say that the product is made of a flexible, medical grade silicone and has a built in splash guard to eliminate messing. (That's a little bit more than I needed to know). She also said the product first premiered at a woman's expo in January......I missed that, thought they would of received more coverage, no pun intended. I guess according to Dillon similar urinal devices have been on the market in Europe for a while. Figures people always say the Europeeans have been ahead of us for years!

Holy Cow - and I thought that child's doll that 'peed' was weird.
I've never missed any sleep over having to sit down to do my business..and they do make those sani-cover thingies for public toilets so I'll go with 'thumbs down' on the GoGirl.

Yea, but I would much rather purchase a product that enables me to stand up and pee with out getting it all down my leg from a door to door salesman, then purchasing cleaning supplies. But then again, if this Go Girl doesn't work then I suppose you could sell the cleaners as an add on.
Hum...maybe the fuller brush company should consider adding this to their line of products. :-D I wonder if they make XL sizes for XL bladders? I can just imagine the furious woman who had to make that purchase return.

I had no idea what this hub was about by the title - ha! But I'm wondering, when you are not using the "GoGirl" do you carry it in your pocket? your purse? how big is the damn thing? I briefly wanted to be able to stand up and call it "taking a leak" when I was a very young girl with brothers - but now, not so much. However, the Lucid Dream squirmy purple vibrator is intriguing! Hey thanks K! Mega, maybe it's a compactable Go Girl that folds up into a little triangle or something and fits into that little pocket in your jeans where not much else fits. Hummm...kinda like a go girl transformer. Then they can try and make it have multi uses like those one flip flops that have beer bottle openers on the bottom. Just what every woman needs, something that enables them to stand up and pee and open a beer all in one. Its like the modern womens multi-tool.

This reminds me of a trip my mom had taken to Greece. When she came home, she told me that the bathrooms were horrifying, to her, anyway. She went into one and there were no toilets, only holes in the floor. So, you had no choice but to stand up and do your business. Needless to say, there weren't any partitions either. I would venture to say, had this item been available, I seriously doubt she would have used it anyway.
Personally, I would have wandered off to the nearest set of bushes or trees LOL.

I really have no idea, but I wouldn't be surprised. I'm guessing you'd also have to supply your own toilet paper. That's where a woman like myself would have the advantage over a man, I could put it in my purse. Where would a guy carry a traveling roll of toilet paper? :)

I've been wanting to write hubs about bizarre products, and well, you went and beat me to it! There's one out there that claims to be-I'm sure it is-an energy drink which you purchase as a bit of powder, a mirror and a little razor blade. Then you add this to the drink.
