The Weekend Is Here, That Means..............

Well it's another beautiful weekend here in Michigan. So what do we do? I enjoy the great crisp autumn weather for one. And second, get ready for another weekend of football!!

Today we have our Michigan Wolverines going for 3 straight wins, taking on Eastern Michigan at home in the big house. Should be a good game. These are the games that worry me though, because it's a game we should win but you never know. I just hope they are still riding high from there huge win over Notre Dame.

Now we turn our attention to the pros. The NFL. If it's Sunday then it must be time to watch our lowly Detroit Lions. Here we go again wishing for a victory. So far one game one lose. Counting last year, we are 0 & 17! So you can see why we are so desperate to get that first win!

Sunday will be a big one ( they're all big at this point). The Minnesota Vikings come into town for our home opener, which barely was a sell out, so it will be televised. (Don't know if that's a good thing either). Minnesota is in our division so this is very important, you want to beat guys in your own division. Let's hope they can pull it off. Come on Lions get that monkey off your back!

Wow I almost forgot, our Detroit Tigers! Here with like 11 games left in the season, we are in a very tight pennant race with gee Minnesota again! Actually we have been in a huge slump, couldn't have come at a worse time.We have a 3 game series with the Twins, they won the first of 3 last night 3-0, not good. They are now only 3 games behind us for first place. and to think we had a 61/2 game lead on them at one point.

Let's see today they are on at 4:10pm, so the Michigan game should be just about over. No conflict there......then tomorrow they are on at 2:10pm, now that could be a problem. Lions are on at 1:00pm, thank god for picture-in-picture TV! I hate when times conflict don't you?

Remember, before any of this can happen you have to spend time with the wife, or (your better half). If you have kids them too.............get out enjoy the weather together, maybe take her to breakfast, do a couple chores that need to be done around the house.

Might make it a little easier on you when you say, " honey, time to get ready to watch the games." And don't forget " I love you".

My wife is gone all weekend on a scrapbook getaway, my kids are grown only one at home, and he is working.Otherwise I would of done all of the above....................really!
